BLOGPOST: Joiful App Launch Party

Last week I was invited to Joiful’s app launch party, and I wanted to share some photos from the event. xx Thank you so much Joiful for the invite! I had suuuch a good time…

The entire room smelled like flowers because of this gorgeous archway!

Joiful is a new, on-demand beauty app that offers salon and spa services. Whether it’s a facial, massage, manicure, hair blowout, etc., their professionals come to you at your selected location. Sometimes, it can be nearly impossible to carve out time to go to a salon. Having an app to request these services and a professional who comes to your location (whether it’s your house, office, etc.) is extremely convenient. Also, your first service is free with the coupon code: GETAPPY

Right now, the app is only available for those in Los Angeles, but there are plans to expand nationally in 2017.

The event was held at Playa Studios in Culver City. It was my first time there, but I loved the venue and décor! Everything was so fancy. There was live music, a fashion show, an open bar (I’m not 21 yet, but their water tasted great), airbrush tattoo booths, beauty demos by Joiful’s professionals, and a very generous goody bag full of cosmetic and wellness products.

Body painted models // seriously though, I wonder how long it takes to get that paint off?

EC Twins, who recently signed a record deal with Sony Music, were playing music all night long.
It’s not a party without glittery airbrush tattoos!

It was also a great night connecting with other bloggers, social influencers, and brands. I just want to give a little shout-out to Cheryl at Skinny on Beauty, one of the wonderful individuals I met at the Joiful app launch. She’s a blogger, public speaker, has her own podcast, and is just a really nice lady! We actually met standing in line for a video booth (it’s like a photo booth… but video), and we immediately hit it off.

Guess who’s not 21 yet (me). **drinks water**

The best part of the night was the interactive, video booth. So, you know how back in the day there were photo booths? Apparently that’s a thing of the past, and now the cool thing is video and GIF booths. Here’s my little video below… (I actually edited my two clips together and added music, but how beautiful is this?!) I think cinematic video booths may be my new favorite thing.

Such a fun event! Thanks for letting me be a part of it xx
