That’s the rosy outlook taken by a south New Jersey teen who after devoting years toward helping give clothes to the needy found all her own clothing and belongings stolen.

Katelyn Darrow, 18, who founded Angels of God Clothing Closet in Pitman at just 12 years old, had loaded up her mother’s car with her college-bound luggage when an overnight smash and grab robbed her of her most personal possessions.

“She called my sisters and I outside (and) we saw that everything we had packed the night before was stolen,” she recalled Wednesday’s stomach-turning discovery that delayed her flight to California.

The theft and damage, estimated as costing around $4,000, included the loss of a $600 camera, college text books, family photos and most important to her: her grandmother’s necklace.
