CHARITY: Local Good Samaritan’s luggage for college stolen
PITMAN, N.J. (WTXF)– A New Jersey teen who founded a charity that donates clothing to the needy found all her luggage for college stolen from the back of her mom’s sport utility vehicle.
The family says the back window was smashed and all of the items 18-year-old Katelyn Darrow planned to take with her from Pitman to California were gone Wednesday.
“I was a little devastated at first, of course. It’s an upsetting circumstance,” Katelyn told FOX 29.
But Katelyn quickly put it all in perspective. After all, at 12 years old she founded the charity Angels of God Clothing Closet. So this teen knows what “real need” is first hand.
“I think when you look at the whole situation it seems a little trivial because I still have a place to sleep– even though I lost some of my items. A lot is replaceable.”
