CHARITY: Bank Honors Young Community Heroes

Katelyn Darrow-Eystad remembers the fire that left her mother and two sisters without their Pitman home and belongings when she was in elementary school.

When Darrow-Eystad opened Angels of God Clothing Closet in her hometown in 2009, her personal experience was a secondthought and she was focused on helping others in need.

“Clothing is such a large chunk of people’s salary that I thought if that money could be put toward something else, that would help,” said Darrow-Eystad, now 16 and a high school sophomore.

Darrow-Eystad, a 2010 Young Hero, handed out business cards for Angels of God Clothing Closet at the National Liberty Museum’s “Heroes of Liberty Gala” Monday night at the Westin hotel in Center City.
